- All processing operations of Halal meat have an AGSMS program.
- All processors of Halal meat have a Halal program that complies with the AGSMS requirements.
- Facilities are inspected and found to be suitable for Halal slaughter and / or production.
- Processors only employ registered Muslim slaughtermen.
- Haram (unlawful) product is not processed in the same area used for Halal product.

- Halal and Non Halal product will be adequately separated and identified at all times.
- Equipment is thoroughly cleaned and washed if Non Halal meat has been in contact.
- Additives and ingredients used in any meat product will be Halal.
- Only genuine Halal products are issued with a Halal certificate.
- Only recognised Islamic Organisations certify Halal meat and meat products, for all export shipments.
